Dance Literacy (DANC 240 1999)
This course examines the context and meaning of personal movement styles and the values that affect dance making, interpretation, and performance. Within the framework of Laban Movement Analysis, students observe, embody, and vividly describe movements within varying contexts. They partner Laban’s principles with different modes of interpretation already present in the body (intuition, bias, aesthetics, and kinesthetic feedback).
