Ongoing interdisciplinary research with Manuela Manetta, Emory Mathematics professor, began as a side-car course.  I introduce Laban theory and crafted somatic improvisations that foster creativity and trigger the synthesis of mathematical concepts. These unique, embodied learning practices relate the body to space, time, and energy and lead to critical thinking, collaboration, and original movement. We have continued our research by developing a freshman seminar and ongoing directed research courses.
